This virtual assistant “understands” the words contained in the built-in system. If a word from the user’s voice command doesn’t exist in the database, Siri won’t know how to respond. And that block of data makes the system difficult to process, according to Burkey.
“A simple update, such as adding a phrase to a data plan, also requires a complete rebuild of the database. This can take up to 6 weeks to complete. Complex features are also available. As complex as a search engine, it takes almost a year,” Burkey explained.
