After a move of interest from Activision, the player count of old Call of Duty games showed signs of increasing.

According to Insider Gaming, a few days ago, it was revealed that older Call of Duty games are becoming popular again, this positive signal comes after Activision rolled out a fix on a series of servers for these games

Specifically, hundreds of thousands of players return to older generation titles to experience Call of Duty in a classic style. These games were previously almost completely abandoned by users. Accordingly, the Black Ops section saw more than 100,000 players return online after news of the fix went viral, a number that continued to grow since then.

It is known that the fixes have been applied by Activision on a series of Call of Duty classic games from Modern Warfare 2 (2009) to Black Ops (2010). And players are very pleased with it.

There are now rumors circulating that these games are being put back into action in preparation for their addition to Xbox Game Pass as part of Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision. However, these are currently just conjectures.
