Apple is reportedly gearing up to launch new versions of its AirPods wireless earbuds, which is expected to be the “biggest AirPods launch ever.” Tech journalist Mark Gurman has said that two new versions of AirPods are expected to be launched in September or October. The highlight of the launch is the mid-range AirPods version, which will be launched alongside a low-cost version, giving users more options based on their needs and budget.

Both new versions of AirPods have been redesigned compared to the current generation, promising to provide a more comfortable wearing experience. The low-cost version does not support active noise canceling (ANC), while the mid-range version is equipped with ANC, effectively eliminating ambient noise.

In addition, the mid-range AirPods will have a “Find My” speaker built into the charging case, making it easier for users to locate their earbuds if they are lost. The company is expected to produce around 20 – 25 million new AirPods headphones this year, demonstrating its confidence in this market’s potential.

Besides the new AirPods, journalist Gurman has also revealed information about future AirPods products. The latest generation AirPods Pro headphones have been integrated with features that will support users with hearing loss. Apple is also said to be working on AirPods with low-resolution cameras to scan the surrounding environment and help users with AI.

By expanding the AirPods portfolio and incorporating new technologies, Apple aims to assert its dominance in the wireless earbuds market and cater to its users’ diverse needs.
