Apple is planning to expand the market for its Vision Pro mixed reality glasses, as reported by Bloomberg. The company aims to release the Vision Pro device to international markets this year, which is a positive development for users interested in this virtual/augmented reality (AR/VR) device. Previously, the Vision Pro was only officially available in the US at a relatively high price.
To prepare for this expansion, Apple has organized training sessions for international sales staff on how to introduce and instruct users on the device. Employees from various countries, including Australia, China, France, Germany, Japan, Singapore, and Korea, attended these training sessions.
While Apple has not officially announced the initial countries for Vision Pro’s international release, the list of employees participating in the training suggests that these countries will likely be among the first to receive the device.
Currently, purchasing Vision Pro outside the US is complex and expensive, as users must either travel to the US or rely on intermediary retailers. The expansion into international markets is expected to increase the device’s user base significantly and may also incentivize Apple to develop future versions at more accessible price points.
