OpenAI recently made an exciting announcement, granting free ChatGPT users access to the DALL-E 3 tool. According to The Verge, as of August 8, users of the free ChatGPT plan can generate up to 2 images daily using the advanced DALL-E 3 model. Previously, this capability was exclusive to subscribers of the paid ChatGPT Plus plan. DALL-E 3 represents a significant advancement in AI image generation, enabling users to create high-quality images based solely on textual descriptions. Its integration with ChatGPT simplifies image creation, making it accessible to individuals without design expertise.
While OpenAI has not disclosed a widespread rollout date for this feature, some users have already been able to experience it on the ChatGPT Mac application. In addition to the DALL-E 3 update, OpenAI has also been busy releasing a safety assessment for the GPT-4o model, appointing new members to the board, and addressing inquiries from the US Congress about the company’s safety practices.
The decision to expand access to DALL-E 3 for free users underscores OpenAI’s commitment to making AI technology more accessible to the community.
