In 2025, the PC version of GTA Online is set to receive a significant graphics upgrade, as confirmed by Rockstar Games in a recent community update. This long-awaited enhancement comes after many years of anticipation from PC gamers, who have been eager for improvements similar to those enjoyed by console players.
The upcoming upgrade promises to deliver a range of enhancements that include:
- Improved Graphics: Players can expect advanced features such as ray tracing, enhanced shadows and lighting, better anti-aliasing, and more detailed environments populated with additional NPCs and vehicles.
- New Features: Exclusive vehicle upgrades will be introduced, along with improvements to the overall player experience and the introduction of Hao’s Special Works store, which will offer unique vehicle customization options.
While the current graphics for GTA Online on PC are already impressive, they have not yet incorporated certain ‘tweaks’ available on next-gen consoles. This announcement has generated excitement within the gaming community, although the wait until 2025 may leave some players feeling disappointed. Many hope that Rockstar will consider a shorter wait time for PC gamers, recalling the two-year delay that followed the initial console launch of GTA 5.
In the meantime, players can look forward to a substantial update arriving in December, which will introduce a wealth of new content across all platforms. This update will feature new activities at the Darnell Bros Garment Factory, Dispatch Work missions, new vehicles, and enhancements to the Job Creator.
