Apple has officially announced the upcoming iOS 18.4, which is set to bring significant enhancements to the Siri assistant in 2025. According to information from BGR, this update, expected to be released in April 2025, follows the official launch of iOS 18.2 on December 11 and will feature several impressive upgrades focused on artificial intelligence (AI).
A key highlight of iOS 18.4 is the expansion of Siri’s language capabilities, now including support for Vietnamese. This addition aims to enhance the user experience for Vietnamese-speaking customers by offering improved AI functionalities.
In this update, Siri will see substantial improvements in its contextual understanding and responsiveness, utilizing users’ contexts to deliver tailored and intelligent information. Furthermore, Siri will gain the ability to recognize content displayed on the screen, enabling it to perform hundreds of new actions across Apple and third-party applications.
In the interim, the iOS 18.3 mid-life update is anticipated to introduce minor improvements, such as the creation of sketch-style images in Image Playground and enhanced performance of priority notifications. Looking ahead, Apple plans to further develop Siri in iOS 19 by implementing a new large language model (LLM), enhancing the assistant’s ability to engage in natural conversations akin to ChatGPT.
