Apple’s upcoming “fall” virtual event may be the place to see a host of new devices from the company, not just the iPhone 12 series, according to a new report from Bloomberg.
In particular, according to Engadget, Apple will release four iPhone 5G models with OLED displays, including the base model with a 5.4-inch and 6.1-inch screen and two Pro models with a display. 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches. Of these, the 6.7-inch model will be the largest Apple has ever built.
All iPhone 12 models will have OLED displays capable of displaying clearer and more colorful images, along with a square edge design like the recent iPad Pro. Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, Apple is said to be expecting a sharp increase in sales for its new iPhone series as the company plans to produce up to 75 million 5G iPhones. The company says it will release new iPhones a few weeks later than last year’s models (ship on September 20), where the base models will be released before the Pro models.
In addition, Apple may also release two new smartwatch models, including a successor to the Watch Series 5 and an alternative to the Watch Series 3. Meanwhile, the iPad Air also comes with thin bezels and integrated Touch ID. in the power button.
Apple is said to be releasing a smaller and cheaper HomePod speaker, along with Apple’s own branded over-ear headphones. The company has released over-ear headphones before but carries the Beats brand name without ever using the Apple brand.
Apple is also said to be developing an Apple TV, however that may have to happen next year. As for iOS 14, Apple will release it in September despite the new iPhones not yet shipped.
