Apple officially announced the new iPhone SE

At the Peek Performance event that took place at dawn on March 9, Apple announced the new generation iPhone SE called iPhone SE 2022 that many people have been waiting for.

According to Engadget , as expected, the iPhone SE 2022 retains the compact design element with a 4.7-inch Retina HD screen and thick borders to accommodate the Home button integrated with the Touch ID fingerprint sensor.

Inside the device comes with an A15 Bionic chip that improves battery life as well as supports 5G sub-6 GHz network. On the back of the device is a 12 MP camera. In fact, the iPhone SE 2022 looks almost identical to its predecessor iPhone SE 2020 .

iPhone SE 2022 is covered with glass, which Apple says is “the hardest glass in a smartphone on both the front and back”. It’s the same glass as on the back of the iPhone 13. The iPhone SE also comes with IP67 water and dust resistance.

Although there is only a single 12MP camera on the back, Apple says the latest iPhone SE has a “new camera system” that comes with many of the features found on the iPhone 13 such as Photographic Styles, Smart HDR 4 and Deep Fusion to handle. better.

Finally, like the iPhone 13 series, Apple says the iPhone SE 2022 is made of recycled materials. It uses “100% recycled rare earth elements in the Taptic Engine and audio magnets, 100% recycled tungsten in the Taptic Engine, and 100% recycled tin in the soldering of the main logic board.” The company has also changed the box with no longer using plastic wrap.

The phone comes in Midnight, Starlight and Red colors. Apple will begin accepting pre-orders for the product from March 11, before selling the product on March 18. With a starting price of $429, the iPhone SE 2022 costs $30 more than its predecessor.
