A first look at the Pixel 8 Pro

The Pixel 8 Pro won’t be released until late 2023, but it could appear as a trailer at the Google I/O event in May.

According to Pocket-lint , with Google I/O opening on May 10, there’s now a lot of information about the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro being released. In the latest news, leaked images that are said to be a black version of the Pixel 8 Pro have been posted by SmartPrix and @OnLeaks . Previous reports have said that the Pixel 8 Pro will carry the code Husky, while Shiba will be the code name of the Pixel 8.

The most obvious difference we can see when comparing the Pixel 8 Pro renders with the Pixel 7 Pro is that the upcoming product will feature a new, flatter display. That’s good news for those who like such a design but disappointing for those who prefer the curved edge approach.

It is difficult to feel about the edges based on what is shown in the rendered image, but it is likely that the device will be equipped with a screen size of about 6.52 inches, smaller than the 6.7 inch screen. on Pixel 7 Pro . This size will place the Pixel 8 Pro between the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max, which have 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screens, respectively.

Around the back, things change dramatically. The phone still has the familiar horizontal bar, but the camera cutouts are larger and take up most of the width of the horizontal bar. It’s a change that may be welcome to some, but opposite to others.

Along with the Pixel 8 series introduced at Google I/O 2023, Google may also introduce its next mid-range smartphone called Pixel 7a.
