Activision is shutting down the original ‘Call of Duty: Warzone’

The first Warzone Caldera will no longer be accessible after September 21 of this year.

According to VGC, Activision recently confirmed it will be shutting down the original Call of Duty: Warzone game later this year.

The company said: “As of September 21, 2023, Call of Duty: Warzone Caldera content will officially stop working. This is part of a plan to help the development team focus more on new Call of Duty in the future, including the free-to-play Warzone game, which is very popular today.”

Call of Duty: Warzone Caldera is the renamed version of the first Warzone game that was released alongside Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in 2020. After Warzone 2.0 was released last November, the Warzone original version was released. renamed Caldera.

titles like Modern Warfare and Call of Duty Activision has confirmed that players will still be able to access all the outfits and weapons they’ve purchased (or unlocked) with the multiplayer modes of premium, Black Ops Cold War, and Vanguard.

The company also thanked the Warzone fan community with the content: “Thanks to the Call of Duty community and our developers for making Call of Duty: Warzone a great rendezvous for gaming together”.
