Americans are starting to get “bored” with Vision Pro

Just one month after it went on sale in early February 2024, Vision Pro sales are facing a sharp decline in demand in the US market.

According to Gizmochina, the decline in Vision Pro sales began when users returned their devices just a week after release. Many people complained about various aspects of the device, including feeling like motion sickness, discomfort while using… Now, a report from expert Ming-chi Kuo on Medium states the delivery time of the device. Vision Pro has improved from 3 – 5 days

Mr. Kuo said that unless Apple reduces the price of Vision Pro or brings more practical applications, the number of device shipments may not increase in the US market. On the other hand, improved glass supply will help Apple get ready for the global release of Vision Pro.

Also according to Mr. Kuo, Apple will likely release a version of mixed reality glasses at a cheaper price than the current $3,499 for Vision Pro. To do this, the company will lower the specifications in the low-cost version. In addition, the company is also developing an even more advanced Vision Pro version with improved specifications. However, with the attraction showing signs of decreasing for the current model, Apple has not yet been able to officially deploy these two projects.

A recent estimate from research firm Omdia said that the raw production cost for each Vision Pro is about 1,542 USD, which does not include other costs such as R&D, packaging, or shipping
