Apple cherishes two ‘genuine’ devices for 2027

Apple is reportedly planning to launch smart glasses and AirPods featuring integrated cameras in 2027. This information comes from Mark Gurman, a well-known technology analyst with Bloomberg, as detailed by 9to5Mac.

The development of these products appears to be a strategic move by Apple to capitalize on the advancements made in the Vision Pro, their recently released mixed virtual reality headset. By extending this cutting-edge vision technology into additional product lines, Apple is positioning itself for a future centered on spatial computing.

The upcoming smart glasses are anticipated to resemble Meta’s Ray-Ban Stories, equipped with cameras, speakers, and microphones to enable basic augmented reality (AR) functionalities. However, unlike the Vision Pro, these glasses will not feature a display screen.

On the other hand, the concept of AirPods with integrated cameras is a more ambitious initiative. Although the specific applications of the camera remain unclear, it is likely to support health monitoring, gesture control, or interactions within virtual environments.

It is important to note that both products are currently in the early development stages, and their release in 2027 is not guaranteed; they could potentially be canceled altogether. If successful, the introduction of smart glasses and AirPods with cameras could represent a significant advancement for Apple in the wearable technology market, further enhancing its product ecosystem.

As of now, Apple has declined to comment on these developments.
