A report says that Apple employees appear to be worried about the success of the mixed reality glasses the company is preparing to launch.
According to AppleInsider, Apple is said to have recently shown off its mixed reality glasses to executives to get a preview of what the product will be like. While executives were interested in the product, others at Apple weren’t sure it was a hit
In a statement to the New York Times, eight current and former employees, who remain anonymous, said they were skeptical about the glasses, despite Apple’s compelling tech demonstrations. Out of the eight people interviewed, there were employees who left the project entirely because they doubted its potential.
Employees at Apple have also questioned the glasses’ ability to sell well. Besides the design around the battery, the product’s expected price of $ 3,000 seems to be difficult for consumers to care about, except for those most loyal to Apple. In addition, glasses are more suitable for a device to “find a problem” than “solve a problem”.
Currently, there is also some information that Apple may delay the release of its first mixed-reality glasses. Products like AirTags have also been delayed more than a year before their release to address privacy concerns
