Apple has released iOS 17.1.2,macOS 14.1.2 and iPadOS 17.1.2

Apple has just officially released updates for three of its operating system platforms, including iOS 17.1.2, iPadOS 17.1.2, and macOS 14.1.2.

According to AppleInsider, while the current beta testing cycle revolves around iOS 17.2, Apple has released smaller updates to the public in the form of iOS 17.1.2 and iPadOS 17.1.2. Such releases typically focus on smaller updates to the operating system, such as bug fixes or security issues.

The update to iOS 17.1.2 comes after Apple released another smaller update in November. iOS 17.1.1 made changes aimed at fixing NFC issues related to charging and the Time widget. details on the lock screen.

The build number for iOS 17.1.2 and iPadOS 17.1.2 is 21B101. The macOS Sonoma 14.1.2 release has build number 23B2091 or 23B92, depending on the hardware the user owns.

Because Apple rarely details every bug in a release, it may be some time before the changes Apple makes appear. So far, the release notes for both are listed simply as “bug fixes and security”.

To manually update to iOS 17 or iPadOS 17, users should open the Settings app > General > Software Update. If an update is available for your device, tap on the update and follow the onscreen instructions.
