Apple has reportedly postponed the release of its mixed reality headset

Apple has discontinued the design of Apple Glasses. Technical difficulties would be the cause of this postponement.

Indefinite postponement or temporary postponement? That is the question. Currently, the Apple Glasses project would be in the fridge for an indefinite period.

According to Bloomberg , some Apple employees don’t believe Apple will ever release AR glasses. Indeed, although there are still some groups of engineers who continue to work on the Apple Glasses project , the focus is on the AR/VR reality headset.

Rather than developing augmented reality glasses, Apple is now focusing on creating a more affordable mixed reality headset that will appeal to more consumers. The first augmented/virtual reality headset will cost around $3,000. Its launch is expected in the coming months, without much certainty. Apple therefore wants to offer similar capabilities at a lower price in the future.
