According to Neowin, Apple can announce the transition from Intel to ARM processors at the WWDC 2020 event in June. The ARM chip is the basis for today’s smartphones and most tablets with the advantage of time. Better battery life, especially good energy management thanks to the big.LITTLE architecture, which allows devices to use more power when needed.

Over the years, Apple has developed its own ARM-based processor used on the iPhone and iPad and offers performance advantages. According to a new report, Apple’s new ARM-based processor for Mac can beat both Intel processors in terms of graphics performance and artificial intelligence (AI) in internal tests.

ARM-based computers have been working with Qualcomm for some time, so OEMs like Lenovo, Samsung, Huawei, HP, ASUS, and even Microsoft can build ARM-based computers. However, they did not live up to expectations, especially when the computer ecosystem contained innumerable heavy applications. Therefore, switching to a new platform takes a long time.

It’s not clear how Apple will solve the problem. Apple may choose to follow the same path as Microsoft did, which is a simulation for active applications. If reported correctly, everything will only be revealed at the upcoming WWDC.
