Apple is looking to downsize the iPhone Plus line

Rumors suggest that Apple may be going against the trend of offering larger screens for their Pro models while keeping their iPhone Plus line compact. According to leak expert Ross Young’s prediction, the upcoming iPhone 17 Plus version may have a smaller screen than previous generations. However, the exact screen size of the iPhone 17 Plus has not been revealed yet. Young’s prediction indicates that the iPhone 17 Plus screen may fall between the standard iPhone 17/iPhone 17 Pro and the high-end iPhone 17 Pro Max in terms of size.

In addition to changes in size, the iPhone 17 series is expected to feature other screen improvements. Reports suggest that Apple may equip all iPhone 17 models with LTPO panels, which means that the standard and Plus iPhone models will likely be integrated with ProMotion – a screen technology with a scanning frequency of 120 Hz, currently only available on Pro models.

It is also worth noting that the iPhone 16 Pro Max, expected to launch later this year, will have the largest screen ever on an iPhone with a size of 6.9 inches, while the iPhone 16 Pro will feature a 6.3-inch screen. Although information about the iPhone 17 Plus is limited at this point, these predictions suggest that Apple may be making significant design changes for the future iPhone Plus line.
