Apple Music reduces free trial period

New users can currently only try Apple Music for free for 1 month, though those who purchase eligible Apple devices will continue to get 6 months.

According to AppleInsider, this comes three years after Apple first planned to shrink Apple Music’s free trial period. Specifically, now users can only try the service for free for 1 month instead of 3 months as before. Those who buy AirPods and other devices, they’re still guaranteed to get the same 6-month free trial as before.

terms Apple Music on the official website don’t currently mention a specific deadline, but at the end of January, the banner title “Enjoy 3 months on us” changed to “Start your free trial today” “. New users who clicked to sign up for the trial are now told they get “1 month free, then $9.99/month”, which means only 1 month free before switching to a $9.99 per month fee.

It is known that in addition to incentives such as an extension program for buyers of Apple headphones, Apple Music also offered a free 3-month trial of the service since it started operating in 2015.
