Apple presents a new MacBook Air

Apple launches its keynote with the first announcements. And the first of these announcements is for the MacBook Air.

After a few introductory words from Tim Cook, the first product highlighted is the MacBook Air. It was expected, the MacBook Air would gain a few centimeters and thus offer a 15.3-inch format, the largest ultra-thin laptop from Apple produced to date

From a design point of view, it will be even thinner. Indeed, the thinnest of all 15-inch models in this class is just 11.5mm thick. This new MacBook will not exceed 1.6 kg, very light,

therefore. The 2,560 x 1,600-pixel screen (as for the 13″) has a maximum brightness of 500 nits and the Full HD front camera will ensure quality FaceTime sessions. The 13″ MacBook only had a 720p camera.

The MacBook Air 2023 also has 6 speakers capable of delivering sound in Spatial Audio. On the other hand, it will not have grids located on either side of the keyboard, as on the MacBook Pro. However, this made it possible to distribute the sound even better. In the bowels, we find an M2 processor with an overall performance 2 times greater than that of the previous model. It will also be ultra quiet thanks to this chip and can be configured with 24GB of RAM and storage of up to 2TB.

Available in 4 colors, the MacBook Air 15″ will see two new colors make their arrival: Midnight and Starlight.

The 15-inch MacBook Air M2 will go on sale tonight starting at $1,299 with first deliveries scheduled for next week
