Apple recently launched tvOS 18, the latest software update for Apple TV. This update includes several exciting features such as InSight, which provides metadata overlay when pausing a movie or show, displaying the cast list and soundtrack with a direct link to Apple Music. InSight will be available on the TV app on tvOS, iPhone, and iPad, allowing users to access actor/actress information and add music to Apple Music playlists on the fly.
Another highlight of tvOS 18 is the “Enhance Speech” feature, which uses machine learning and computational audio to make voices clearer over music, action scenes, and background noise on Apple TV 4K, as well as on other connected devices. Additionally, subtitles now appear automatically and at the right time, even when watching content in a different language.
The update also includes new screensavers and a redesigned Fitness+ to help users maximize their workout experience. It is set to be available as a free update by the end of the year, with the first beta releasing shortly.
