Apple recently released iOS 17.4.1 for iPhone users, aiming to fix bugs, improve general security, and update security. This update was released after users reported excessive battery drain, freezing, and minor errors. Although these issues were not widespread, Apple still decided to roll out the update. The update also includes some crucial security fixes.
iOS 17.4.1 comes just after the release of iOS 17.4, which introduced new features like recordings in Apple Podcasts, improvements to Stolen Device Protection and Siri, and new emojis. Additionally, with iOS 17.4, Apple had to permit European Union (EU) users to install alternative app stores, third-party payments, and default browsers.
If you own a compatible iPhone, you can update to iOS 17.4.1 by following the instructions in the Settings app > General > Software Update. The company is also releasing updates to iPadOS 17.4.1 and VisionOS 1.1.1.
