Apple revived the iPhone 7 Plus design in the iPhone SE 4

Apple is anticipated to update its iPhone SE product line with the launch of the iPhone SE 4 early next year, featuring a notable new design.

According to Neowin, the iPhone SE 4 is set to significantly diverge from the outdated aesthetics of the iPhone SE 3. It is reported that the new model will incorporate design elements from the iPhone 14, replacing Touch ID and the Home button with Face ID and an edge-to-edge display.

Key features of the iPhone SE 4:

Recent leaks provide insights into the camera configuration on the back of the iPhone SE 4. A shared image of a case, believed to be made for the new model by leaker Sonny Dickson, indicates a dual-camera system arranged horizontally, reminiscent of the iPhone 7 Plus. This contrasts with earlier expectations that the SE 4 would feature only a single camera, although the main sensor is expected to be upgraded to 48 MP.

Additionally, the image reveals that the iPhone SE 4 will retain the beloved on/off switch rather than adopting the new Action button seen in the iPhone 16 models. Previous reports suggest that the device will feature a 6.1-inch OLED display, with a chassis constructed from 7000 series aluminum and both front and back made of glass.

To maintain a competitive price point, estimated to be around 500 USD, Apple may utilize components from the iPhone 13 and 14. The iPhone SE 4 is also projected to outpace the standard iPhone 15 and 15 Plus in performance thanks to the A18 chip and 8 GB of RAM to support advanced Apple Intelligence features. With these enhancements, the iPhone SE 4 is poised to become one of the leading mid-range smartphones in 2025.
