Apple to hold its next hardware event in early March

The latest report from Bloomberg says that Apple is expected to hold its next hardware event on March 8.

According to Engadget, at the event, the company will announce the third-generation iPhone SE, a refreshed version of the iPad Air, and a new Mac computer with an Apple Silicon chip. The timing of the 8.3 launches aligns with the March and April timeframes previously reported by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, but Gurman at the time warned that a potential production delay could force the company to have to change its plans.

Like before, the new phone is expected to feature a 5G modem, which is a first for the iPhone SE series. The product is also expected to come with a faster processor and better camera, but it will retain the design of the iPhone 8.

As for the iPad Air, the product will be refreshed with a processor chip and added 5G connectivity. Bloomberg doesn’t say much about the new Mac that Apple is likely to announce at the same event, but most recent reports indicate that the company will unveil an iMac Pro model.

In addition, Bloomberg reports that Apple also plans to release iOS 15.4 around the first half of March. Among the improvements, the update is expected to add a feature that allows users to unlock their iPhone using Face ID. even when wearing a mask.
