Apple has recently announced a significant update to its AirPods Max, bringing in the much-awaited USB-C connector for charging and introducing new color options such as Midnight, Blue, Purple, Orange, and Starlight. This shift aligns with Apple’s strategy to adopt the USB-C standard across its product range. The USB-C connector replaces the previous Lightning connector, making charging more universal and potentially faster.
In addition to the connector update, the AirPods Max are now available in five new color options, providing users with more variety and personalization. Furthermore, the upcoming iOS 18 release will introduce support for Personalized Spatial Audio, a feature that aims to enhance the overall sound experience by adapting to individual preferences and creating a more immersive audio environment.
The updated AirPods Max are available for pre-order as of today, priced at $549, with the official launch scheduled for Friday, September 20th. While the update brings new features and colors, there have been no significant technical changes to the AirPods Max.
