Apple has announced plans to integrate ChatGPT into iOS 18 later this year. Reports from TechRadar suggest that the official launch of new Apple Intelligence features unveiled at the WWDC 2024 in June, is still pending. Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, revealed that the incorporation of ChatGPT into iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia will be completed by the end of this year.

This integration will enable users to ask Siri to direct specific queries to ChatGPT, utilize writing assistance for composing messages and emails, and create various styled images using the latest GPT-40 model, all free of charge without registering for an OpenAI account. However, ChatGPT Plus members will have the option to connect their accounts to access additional paid features.

Apple has also shown interest in integrating other AI bots into Siri in the future, such as Google Gemini. Furthermore, Apple is continually working to improve Siri to match the capabilities of ChatGPT and Gemini.

Currently, a limited number of Apple Intelligence features are available in the iOS 18.1 developer beta, but this version may not be suitable for regular use. Users are advised to await a stable and official update shortly.

Further information about Apple Intelligence and the official launch date is expected to be announced at the iPhone 16 launch event, which is anticipated to take place in September alongside the introduction of the Apple Watch 10.
