Assassin’s Creed Valhalla creative director fired by Ubisoft

After Ubisoft slashed its sexual harassment allegations, now it’s Ashraf Ismail’s turn to pack up. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, the creative director who was fired last June after being accused of abusing his extramarital status, has been officially fired by Ubisoft.

An internal investigation was carried out In June, several women from the gaming industry spoke out to denounce Ashraf Ismail’s behavior. The man, strong in the upcoming Assassin’s Creed installment, is said to have abused his status and lied to his conquests about his marriage.

Two months later, and despite promises of contrition from the executive, an investigation was overseen by Ubisoft ultimately led to a dismissal. “Following a third-party investigation, it was determined that Ashraf’s contract with Ubisoft must be terminated,” reading the internally circulating message to which Kotaku was able to access. “We cannot provide any details on this confidential investigation” specifies the same note.

At this time, it is not known who took over the artistic direction of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The twelfth major installment of the license is due out on November 17 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Series X, as well as on PC and Stadia.
