Benchmarks show that iPhone 15 Pro will have outstanding performance

A leaked benchmark is said to be how powerful the A17 Bionic chip that Apple equips on the high-end iPhone 15 Pro later this year will be.

According to AppleInsider , the post provided by Twitter member @Tech_Reve gives a look at the Geekbench score results for the processor chip found on the iPhone 15 Pro models . According to the tweet, the A17 Bionic chip achieved a single-core score of 3,019 and a multi-core score of 7,860 on the Geekbench test.

The Apple A17 Bionic is expected to be a new 3nm process chip with improvements in speed and power efficiency, but the above numbers seem unrealistic, at least compared to the scores of other devices. previous generation A-series.

For clarity, the single-core figure of 3,019 is 500 points higher than the flagship A16 Bionic chip found on the iPhone 14 Pro, representing a 20.6% increase. Meanwhile, looking at the A14 Bionic vs. A13 Bionic and A13 Bionic vs. A12 Bionic, the gains are 10.8% and 10.6% respectively. The A17 Bionic’s multi-core score also had the same problem, with a 24% increase over its predecessor; while A16 Bionic improves 16.3% over A15 Bionic and A15 Bionic improves 17.4% over A14 Bionic.

While the performance increase every year is not surprising, the increase is usually not much more than what is mentioned about the A17 Bionic. More importantly, a 10% gain is still typical in their processors, while 20% is too high

More importantly, the aforementioned benchmark results are based on an unverified Weibo post, and there’s no real proof or even Geekbench screenshots to substantiate that claim, so everything is simply rumour. Based on the product development history, it is too early for an iPhone 15 Pro model to participate in such a test. Also, there aren’t any entries in the Geekbench database that match these results.

That’s not to say that the A17 Bionic that Apple brings to the iPhone 15 Pro lacks power. With the advanced 3nm process , the company can fully boost the chip’s processing performance compared to its predecessor.
