Gamers eagerly anticipating the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 for Xbox Series X/S consoles may be taken aback by the substantial SSD space requirements set by Activision-Blizzard.

Reportedly, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will necessitate a significant amount of SSD capacity on the Xbox Series X/S console, amounting to 309.8 GB. This information is derived from the technical specifications listed for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on the Xbox Store.

This figure may not come as a surprise to longtime Call of Duty fans. For instance, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare initially required over 200 GB, and this requirement was later increased to over 250 GB for the PC version with certain modifications. The current 300 GB requirement represents nearly a third of the 1 TB SSD capacity within an Xbox Series X/S console.

It’s important to note that the 300 GB+ requirement is merely a starting point, as the game may consume even more space through daily patches, timed updates, and seasonal updates introducing new content. This will pose a challenge for Xbox Series X/S (and PlayStation 5) gamers, who are constrained by 1 TB SSDs.

PC gamers playing Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will have more flexibility regarding storage options compared to console users. Nevertheless, exceeding 300 GB of storage is a substantial figure that can be overwhelming, particularly when many games feature superior graphic content while requiring less storage space.
