Warzone Mobile mobile shooting game is expected to come to fans later this year.
According to Engadget, while the saga of Microsoft and Activision Blizzard is still in full swing, the documents being submitted to the regulator have revealed some intriguing details. The latest is information about the future of Call of Duty on mobile.
In a written response to the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), explaining that the merger of Microsoft and Activision Blizzard will result in significantly diminished competition in the gaming market play, Microsoft has said that: ” Call of Duty: Mobile is expected to be phased out in phases (outside China), in addition to the launch of Warzone Mobile” .
Warzone Mobile is expected to be launched later this year. As GamesRadar pointed out, Call of Duty: Mobile is currently being played in separate seasons and battles. But Warzone Mobile will connect to the cross-development system of the PC and console versions of the battle royale game. And there will be no cross-play between Warzone Mobile and other versions.
It is reasonable for Activision to want to unify the Call of Duty ecosystem, but it is not yet known exactly how removing Call of Duty: Mobile will affect players who have invested money and effort in the game. Activision has not yet given an official answer.
