Could Apple suddenly launch the iPhone SE 4 with the iPhone 16?

Information suggests that the iPhone SE 4 may be released earlier than anticipated, possibly in early 2025. Although initially expected to be launched in mid-2025, Apple’s plans might have changed to avoid impacting the release of the iPhone 16.

The iPhone SE is known for being the most affordable iPhone model offered by Apple, with a significantly lower price compared to the flagship iPhone models. Unlike the main iPhone lines, the iPhone SE line is not updated annually, leading many users to continue using the iPhone SE 3 in 2022. Recent reports indicate that Apple’s inventory for various key products and accessories, including FineWoven faux leather cases, Apple Watch bands, AirPods, iPad mini, and some iPhone models, is at an all-time low. This shortage also includes the iPhone SE, which was previously rumored to receive an updated version early next year.

Additionally, the low inventory of FineWoven cases suggests that Apple might discontinue this case material or introduce new colors and support for upcoming hardware. The scarcity of other mentioned products also hints at potential refreshed versions shortly, sparking speculation about the iPhone SE 4 possibly making an appearance at the iPhone 16 launch event. Although rumors initially pointed to a launch event for the iPhone SE 4 between March and May 2025, Apple’s past unpredictability and the unstable pattern of SE series launches leave room for unexpected developments.

The diminishing inventory of the iPhone SE 3, coupled with Apple’s efforts to enhance Apple Intelligence, indicates a potential early release for the iPhone SE 4. The push for Apple to incorporate the A18 chip into the iPhone SE aligns with the need to introduce affordable devices equipped with the latest AI innovations. Leaks suggesting that the iPhone SE 4 will be based on the iPhone 14 further solidify expectations for this anticipated release.
