Diablo 4 confirmed to release in 2023

The sequel to the newly confirmed Diablo game will be released in 2023 with cross-playability and support for all platforms.

According to VCG , Activision Blizzard has confirmed plans to release Diablo 4 in 2023. The online game was initially announced in 2019 for PC, Xbox One, and PS4.

The game is also coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S now, with cross-playability and cross-progress for all platforms. The game will also support couch-co-op (offline multiplayer mode) on consoles.

“We can’t wait to open the gates of hell next year — the talented team behind Diablo 4 puts gameplay first in everything they do and has built the biggest and most ambitious vision of Sanctuary yet. ,” said Blizzard president Mike Ybarra.

“ The new game world draws heavily on the franchise’s 25-year history and is designed around players choosing their own direction and not following a boring storyline, offering an adventure unlike any other. with anything Diablo players have been through before.”

Blizzard has also opened pre-registration for the Diablo 4 beta, which has yet to confirm a release date.

Development of Diablo 4 was hampered by the departures of several senior team members, such as game director Luis Barriga, lead designer Jesse McCree and World of Warcraft senior designer Jonathan LeCraft left the company last year.
