Apple’s latest iOS 17.3 update introduces three fresh features that enhance how users interact with their devices. Here’s a rundown of what’s new.
Protection against stolen devices
A key upgrade is the “Stolen Device Protection”. Your iPhone steps up security, needing your biometric authentication for important tasks, and safeguarding your data.
Collaborative Playlist
Collaborate on playlists for a shared musical journey by inviting friends to add songs and express feelings with emojis.
A new wallpaper
The latest iOS 173 update introduces a special Unity Bloom wallpaper for the iPhone’s lock screen. It’s part of Apple’s annual effort to honor the Black community, featuring a floral design that bursts into color when the screen awakens.
It is accessible from the iOS settings, in the “Wallpaper” section.
Other new features
Finally, the new iOS 17.3 update brings some minor new features such as:
- In-hotel AirPlay support lets you stream content directly to your in-room TV in select hotels.
- AppleCare & Warranty in Settings displays your coverage for all devices connected with your Apple ID.
- Crash detection optimizations (for all iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 models)
To update your iPhone or iPad, just follow Head to Settings > General > Software Update, and download the latest version.
