EA is discontinuing classic Battlefield games and Mirror’s Edge

DICE recently announced plans to discontinue Mirror’s Edge and some classic Battlefield games.

According to Gadget Match, EA used to be one of the biggest names in the video game industry, and there’s no denying that this studio has created hugely beloved titles. But all was not won over time, as the company officially announced the delisting of some Battlefield classic and Mirror’s Edge titles from digital stores.

In an official statement, EA announced the shutdown of 4 online games this year. games Starting April 28, users will no longer be able to purchase Battlefield 1943, Battlefield: Bad Company, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, and Mirror’s Edge. In addition, the online services of these games will be shut down on December 8.

Strongly developed to this day, the Battlefield franchise is EA’s answer to Call of Duty Activision Blizzard’s. While Call of Duty focuses on arcade-style shooter gameplay, Battlefield has chosen to include an element of strategy in its battles.

As for Mirror’s Edge, the game is a classic first-person parkour adventure. When it was released, the game gained attention thanks to its engaging motions and player-friendly visuals. The game even had a sequel, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst

Following the announcement, owners of the aforementioned titles will still be able to experience them until April. However, players will only be able to participate in the games’ offline single-player campaigns since Last year.
