EA was split into EA Entertainment and EA Sports

A major internal reorganization is underway as EA is split into two separate entities.

According to Gaming Bolt, Electronic Arts (EA) chief executive Andrew Wilson has announced that the company is undergoing a major overhaul internally, with the result of splitting EA and EA Sports into two separate entities. Therefore, EA will be renamed EA Entertainment

In addition to Wilson, EA Entertainment will be headed by Laura Miele, who previously served as the company’s COO and now serves as EA’s president of Entertainment, Technology, and Central Development. . Miele will directly work with many other studios and executives on future projects.

EA Sports will continue to be led by Cam Weber, who took over as executive after years of working on EA’s Madden rugby game series. Both EA Entertainment and EA Sports will be led by Wilson as CEO.
