Evidence shows that M4 Max is the fastest chipset in the world

Apple’s latest M4 Max chip has set a new benchmark in single-core performance, achieving the highest score ever recorded in the Geekbench 6 test.

As reported by WCCF Tech, while the M4 Pro is well-regarded for its performance relative to its price, the M4 Max is recognized as a “monster” specifically in terms of single-core processing power. The Geekbench 6 results indicate that the M4 Max scored an impressive 4,060 points in the single-core test, outpacing all competitors currently in the market.

In the multi-core test, the M4 Max demonstrated a performance increase of approximately 17.6% over the M4 Pro and about 21.9% over the M3 Max. This moderate improvement in multi-core performance can be attributed to Apple maintaining the same number of CPU cores in the M4 Max as in its predecessor. Both the M3 Max and M4 Max feature 16 CPU cores, which comprise 12 high-performance cores and 4 energy-saving cores.

Despite this, the M4 Max achieves a higher multi-core score than the M3 Max, primarily due to an increased clock speed of 4.5 GHz. Apple has consistently focused on optimizing single-core performance in its chips, and the results for the M4 Max reinforce the company’s leadership in this area.
