Expected features are about to appear on iOS 18.2

Apple’s iOS 18 is set to bring with it a range of exciting new features, and while some of the most anticipated updates are expected in the upcoming iOS 18.2 version, there are a few key features that have generated a lot of buzz. According to 9to5mac, there are several features that users are eagerly awaiting in the iOS 18.2 update.

One of the standout features is the introduction of ChatGPT support in Siri. Apple CEO Tim Cook hinted at the gradual rollout of Apple Intelligence features during a recent earnings call, and specifically mentioned the forthcoming integration of ChatGPT, which is anticipated later this year. Apple’s collaboration with OpenAI further underscores their confidence in this technology.

Another highly anticipated feature is Genmoji, which was unveiled at the WWDC in June. Although it has yet to make its debut in current iOS versions, sightings of Genmoji elements in recent betas of iOS 18.0 and 18.1 suggest a potential release later this year. While Apple hasn’t provided specific details, there’s a strong possibility that Genmoji will be added soon.

Enhancements to the Mail app are also in the pipeline, with on-device processing capabilities allowing for automatic email categorization. Additionally, the use of artificial intelligence suggestions in email responses will enable users to craft more efficient and comprehensive replies. The Mail app’s integration of artificial intelligence will offer quick email summaries directly from the list view, streamlining the email management process.

In a move towards home automation, Apple has announced full support for robot vacuum cleaners later this year. The Home app will enable users to control key features of the robot vacuum cleaner, including power control, cleaning mode, and charging status. Furthermore, interaction with the robot vacuum cleaner will be possible through Siri, adding a new dimension to home automation for Apple users.
