Sony exploited its conference on September 16 to divulge the second flood of games, including a few special features of the PS5. We consider the huge declarations of the gathering. Final Fantasy 16, God of War, Harry Potter, and Demon’s Soul Sony draws out the weighty cannons.
Sony’s PS5 Showcase conference opened with the trailer for Final Fantasy 16. The first surprise of an evening that was full of announcements. We were treated to a new gameplay trailer for Spider-Man: Mike Morales which had already been formalized last June at the first conference dedicated to PS5 games.
The virtual show ended, as expected, with the announcement of the PS5 release date and price. The console will be available on November 19, 2020, from $ 399.99 (digital version). The standard PlayStation 5 costs $ 499. So without further ado, let’s take a look at the new games that have been served to us.
Final Fantasy 16: a PS5 exclusive on the console, will also be released on PC
The first trailer for Final Fantasy 16 gives a glimpse of where Square-Enix is heading. The new episode stands out from the old ones by transporting us to a medieval-fantasy setting. Return to heroic-fantasy in a darker atmosphere, with more action and gameplay inspired by FF15 and the latest Final Fantasy 7 Remake. The game does not yet have a release date, but it will be available on PS5 and Windows. This is therefore a console exclusive.
Harry Potter Hogwarts Legacy
We didn’t see it coming. Sony has unveiled a new Harry Potter game called Hogwarts Legacy or Hogwarts Heritage in French. Published by Warner Bros Games, Hogwarts Legacy is an immersive, universe-set action RPG that was first introduced in the Harry Potter books. No release date announced, but we know it will be available on all platforms.
Demon’s Souls: First Gameplay Trailer
Demon’s Souls: First Gameplay Trailer Demon’s Souls is the latest action-RPG game created by Japanese studio “From Software”, creators of franchises such as Armored Core, Tenchu, Otogi, and Chromehounds. This is a remake of the original game released on PS3 in 2009. Another PS5 exclusive.
God of War
This is one of the big surprises of the conference along with Final Fantasy and Harry Potter. A new God of War is coming to PS5. The exact title of this episode is not yet known, as Sony simply teased the game with the slogan “Ragnarok is coming”. No doubt a God of War: Ragnarok which is still the subject of many mysteries. It will be released in 2021.
Deathloop
Deathloop is a game developed by the Arkane Lyon studio. Sony took advantage of his conference to unveil some gameplay for this title. We discover a little more the universe of this nervous FPS and the game mechanics.
