First look at the camera on the Galaxy S25 Ultra

Samsung is gearing up to release the Galaxy S25 series next year, and early details about the product line have already started to emerge. The spotlight has been on the Galaxy S25 Ultra model, which is anticipated to boast 16 GB of RAM, marking the first capacity increase since the Galaxy S21 Ultra. Additionally, the phone is expected to feature a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging, aligning with the specifications of the Galaxy S24 Ultra. This decision is reportedly a cost-saving measure for Samsung’s upcoming flagship phones.

A recent report from X user Sperandio4Tech has revealed insights about the camera sensors of the Galaxy S25 Ultra. It is said that the phone will come with three upgraded camera sensors, aligning with previous reports indicating a significant camera system upgrade for the most advanced version of the Galaxy S25 series.

In terms of specifics, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to sport a 200 MP camera featuring Samsung’s new ISOCELL HP2 sensor. Additionally, it will incorporate a new version of the 1/2.76 inch JN1 sensor, slightly smaller than the sensor on the Galaxy S24 Ultra, but providing an increased camera resolution of 50 MP.

The 3x telephoto camera is rumored to include a new 1/3-inch ISOCELL sensor, larger than the sensor on the Galaxy S24 Ultra, and set to boost the resolution to 50 MP.

Furthermore, it has been suggested that Samsung is working on new algorithms to enhance the image and video quality of its upcoming high-end phone, although detailed information about these algorithms remains uncertain.
