Turn 10 Studios’ next racing game has announced an official release date this year.

According to Engadget, Turn 10 Studios announced during Microsoft and Bethesda’s Developer Direct showcase of Forza Motorsport, the eighth mainline game in the long-running racing series that will launch later this year.

This launch time seems to have been delayed quite a bit, previously in June 2022, Microsoft announced that they would release the game this spring.

Turn 10 Studios promises Forza Motorsport will take full advantage of the latest Xbox and PC hardware to deliver the most immersive experience on the franchise’s racetrack. The game will have more than 500 cars for players to collect, including 100 new cars.

And to make the cars look the most beautiful and realistic, the developer used a spectrophotometer to perform the car paint coating, thereby providing the most realistic light reflection effect in color, sparks of metal, and luster. In addition, each vehicle will now also feature environmental damage and dust stains that Turn 10 says are unique.

During the showcase, the studio also introduced the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in South Africa, one of five new tracks included in the game. With the help of laser scanning and photography, Turn 10 shows that the environment in Forza Motorsport is 10 times more realistic than in previous games.

In addition, with the addition of dynamic time of day and weather simulation, players will experience each race with a different appearance and control.

Microsoft plans to release Forza Motorsport on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox Game Pass, and PC (via Microsoft Store and Steam). For players who want to experience the new racing game on Xbox One, they will need to use the Xbox Game Pass service.
