Gamers benefit from new modes in iOS 18

In the latest iOS 18 release, Apple has introduced a new ‘Game Mode’ feature that aims to elevate the gaming experience for iPhone users. This mode automatically activates when users open video games, optimizing system resources to prioritize running games and minimize background tasks. It also aims to reduce audio and input latency when using AirPods or game controllers.

According to reports, Game Mode is tailored for demanding AAA titles such as Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Resident Evil Village, but its compatibility with all games remains unclear. While the introduction of Game Mode is a noteworthy enhancement, Apple may still need to address thermal performance issues on the latest iPhone models. There are rumors of a graphene cooling system appearing in the iPhone 16, which could potentially address this concern.

Considering the growing library of AAA games available on iOS, the launch of Game Mode on iOS 18 is anticipated to attract more gamers to the platform, offering a smoother and more engaging gaming experience.
