God of War: Ragnarok is likely to have an expansion

A leaked source confirmed that the development of the God of War: Ragnarök expansion is 60% complete.

According to Gaming Bolt, when it was just released, God of War: Ragnarök director Eric Williams stated that this hit game would hardly have one more DLC (expansion). This has made some fans of the God of War franchise unhappy. However, this statement no longer seems to be true.

Recently, a reliable leaker, nicknamed The Snitch, has claimed that Sony Interactive Entertainment developer Santa Monica Studio is currently working on an expansion for God of War: Ragnarok .

The leaker also mentioned the same thing on his personal Twitter page. He then went on to say on a Twitch channel that it’s impossible to say with certainty whether what Santa Monica is developing is the DLC for God of War: Ragnarök itself, or it could be a stand-alone expansion of the game, similar to Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

According to The Snitch, the development of this project is about 60% complete. However, it has now expired this year.

Recently, Santa Monica has also made a move to post staff, the studio said that it is currently looking for candidates with knowledge of the two games God of War (2018) and God of War: Ragnarök. It’s hinted that they may be stepping up development for an expansion for the upcoming God of War: Ragnarök.

God of War: Ragnarök is currently available on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. The game has sold more than 11 million copies as of February 1 of this year
