Google challenges Apple with Gemini AI application on iOS

The competition in mobile artificial intelligence (AI) is intensifying as the iPhone emerges as a key platform for major technology companies. Recent reports from WCCF Tech indicate that, alongside Apple’s own AI initiatives, iPhone users now have access to a range of well-known AI applications, including Google Gemini and ChatGPT.

A notable development is Google’s launch of the standalone Gemini application on the App Store. This allows iPhone users to utilize this advanced AI assistant independently rather than through the Google Search app. The Gemini app is designed to leverage Apple’s Live Activity feature, enabling it to multitask effectively in the background and operate in real-time.

As the iPhone AI landscape continues to evolve, the competition is just beginning. It remains to be seen how Google Gemini will measure up against ChatGPT and Apple’s own AI offerings in this dynamic environment. Currently, the Gemini app for iOS is being tested in select regions, with plans for broader deployment anticipated soon.
