Google improves password manager

Google has announced a series of improvements to its password manager, aimed at creating a consistent interface across different platforms.

According to Google, the core of this change is the same simple and unified management experience in Chrome and Android settings. The update is also expected to automatically group multiple passwords on the same website, as well as introduce the option to manually add passwords.

manager password is a standalone app yet, but Android users can already add a shortcut on their home screen.

For the iOS version, if you choose Chrome for the default autofill, the password manager will provide the ability to generate strong and unique passwords.

The built-in password checking feature on Android has also been upgraded. In addition to checking if the login information has been hacked or not, the program can also warn if the password is weak and reused. Google is also extending the compromised password warning to Chrome users across all operating systems.

Finally, Google is bringing a “Touch-to-login” feature to Chrome on Android, allowing you to sign in to websites with a single tap after you’ve entered information using the autofill feature. Apple has also now implemented the same feature in Safari since iOS 12.2.
