Google is set to launch a new and powerful artificial intelligence (AI) model called Gemini 1.5 Pro, which comes with a large context window. This model will have a context window of 1 million tokens, equivalent to around 750,000 words or 3 to 7 books, depending on the length. Additionally, it can capture 1 hour of video, 11 hours of audio, and more than 30,000 lines of code through user prompts. The preview version of Gemini 1.5 Pro is already available for some early testers, and users will be able to feed the entire book series, legal case histories, and other relevant information to the model, which will enable them to answer questions about the data.
This AI model is expected to be a game-changer in the field of machine learning. Google is looking to use the information fed into the model as training data to develop and improve other machine-learning technologies. The data shared with Gemini will also help Google build better products and services. However, since it is still in the preview stage, the terms of service are yet to be released. A Google spokesperson has declined to comment on the data usage practices that will apply to this model.
