Google Photos for image search by voice and command

At the Google I/O 2024 conference, Google unveiled the innovative ‘Ask Photos’ feature for Google Photos. This feature allows users to search for images using voice or text commands, streamlining the photo management process. Through the advanced Gemini artificial intelligence platform, Google Photos can analyze user queries and display the most relevant results from their photo library.

Users can ask questions like “Find images of Vung Tau beach” or “Find images of my old motorbike in 2018” to locate desired photos. Moreover, ‘Ask Photos’ has robust image content recognition capabilities, enabling users to search for specific details within photos, such as license plate numbers, vehicle brands, and location names, saving time and effort.

This feature also extends its support to video search, enhancing the overall multimedia management experience. ‘Ask Photos’ is expected to be gradually rolled out on Android and Google Photos platforms in the coming months, marking a significant advancement in leveraging artificial intelligence for personal photo and video management.
