Google strongly suppresses the sensitive problem of deepfake

Google has recently unveiled new initiatives aimed at combating the spread of sensitive deepfake images and content on Google Search. Users now can easily report any sensitive deepfake images they come across. Upon receiving a report, Google will not only remove the identified image but will also conduct scans to eliminate any duplicates and associated search results.

Additionally, Google has modified its algorithm to prioritize the display of high-quality content without sensitive elements when deepfake-related searches are performed. These adjustments have led to a reduction of over 70% in the exposure of sensitive imaging results.

Furthermore, Google is actively working on technological enhancements to differentiate between sensitive, consensual, and authentic content from fake deepfake material. Websites hosting a significant number of sensitive deepfake images will experience decreased visibility in search results.

In its commitment to comprehensively combat sensitive deepfake content, Google is continually refining its algorithms and collaborating with other companies. This effort is crucial in addressing the increasingly sophisticated threat of deepfake content, which has resulted in significant societal repercussions.
