GTA 6 is guaranteed to launch on time, Take-Two quashes delay rumors

Fans of the Grand Theft Auto series can be reassured, as it has been confirmed that GTA 6 is scheduled for release in the fall of 2025.

According to a report from Neowin, there had been some speculation regarding potential delays for the game due to a lack of updates from Rockstar Games. However, Take-Two Interactive, the game’s publisher, has officially stated that the development is proceeding on schedule.

In their latest financial report, Take-Two reiterated that GTA 6 is set to launch as planned. This announcement has provided much-needed reassurance to the gaming community eagerly anticipating the next installment in the iconic series. As Take-Two noted, “GTA 6 is one of our key titles for fiscal year 2026,” emphasizing their confidence in the development team and their commitment to delivering an exceptional gaming experience.

Additionally, Take-Two mentioned the sale of its indie publishing label, Private Division, indicating a strategic focus on major projects like GTA 6.

Currently, GTA 6 is anticipated to be released on next-generation consoles including the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, though a PC version has not yet been announced.

In the meantime, fans can continue to engage with GTA Online, which will receive various updates. Rockstar has also confirmed that the ‘Expanded and Enhanced’ upgrade for Xbox and PlayStation will soon be rolled out for PC users.
