According to Bloomberg, GTA 6 will be officially announced this weekend and the game trailer will be released in December.
Bloomberg also cited sources about GTA 6 coming from people close to Rockstar Games.
If this is really what will happen, it means that gamers and fans will receive an “official” announcement about GTA 6 more than 9 years after the announcement of GTA 5 took place in 2013.
Although the gap between the two versions is very long, even the longest in the gaming industry, Rockstar Games’ parent company Take-Two still has high hopes for GTA 6.
“On the one hand, it needs to be something you’ve never seen before and it needs to reflect how we feel about Grand Theft Auto,” Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said about GTA 6 in May. “It’s a big challenge for us,” he added.
Of course, it’s not a secret that Rockstar Games is developing GTA 6 as this project has been leaked multiple times and became one of the biggest game leaks ever last year when it revealed a series of footage and details that are said to be the final product of GTA 6. Because of this leak, a number of related hackers were charged and faced trial in August. They are still anxiously waiting for additional sentencing.
