Halo Infinite finally pushed back to 2021

The information is shocking but very official. 343 Industries has just announced the postponement of Halo Infinite. Therefore, this game will not be released at the same time as the Xbox Series X.

Should we be worried about Microsoft’s next console launch later this year? It’s too early to tell, but the Xbox Series X is missing one of its bigger cartridges. In fact, we just got word that Halo Infinite won’t come with the engine in November.

No new precise date

Chris Lee, President of 343 Industries, announced the news in a statement on Twitter. There we learned that the release date for Halo Infinite has been postponed to 2021 without any further details known. In his message to fans, Lee stated that this report is related to the Corona virus which has influenced developments in 2020.

Of course, the reason could be elsewhere. In fact, the Halo Infinite demonstration that was presented during the Xbox Games showcase received a very mixed reception. 343 Industries even had to call on Sperasoft to improve the quality of their final game.

Unfortunately, that’s not enough, and Halo Infinite won’t be released this year.
